Fuck Robot Skin.

Current mood: Reflective
Listening to: Two Guys And A Girl on Zulu

This weekend I was in Strib for the OD activity weekend - and it was amazing! I just love the atmosphere around those people and that you're in a place where everybody wants the same thing - better possibilities for the third world. The people there were amazing. I'm going to miss it s o much next year. That's why Mia and I've been thinking about being activists there next year. I think that would be wonderful. Those people are great. And working with this project really gives me a lot of positive energy.

On another note - my dad turned 66 yesterday xD Congratulations, dad! You are the best dad ever. And if that wasn't enough he also celebrated his 7th year of sobriety at the same time : D I'm so proud to be your daughter. And I really look forward to next summer, where we'll begin writing your life story down ^^ I really admire you, dad.

Tomorrow my social studies level a class is being visited by some American students. We are going to go into separate groups, as are they, and discuss politics. American vs. Danish. We've prepared some questions, which they've been shown and then we're going to take turns answering them. I'm actually kind of excited about it. Except for Mikey, these people are going to be the only Americans that I've actually talked with. I really think it's going to be great.

Other than that, the OD secretariat is coming to my school ^^ yay! They're going to inform everybody about this years project: Bolivia. Afterwards, me and the rest of the OD-group at my school are going to register all the students who want to help out. I hope a lot sign up ^^

Another thing I wanted to blog about was Phillips new shaving commercial. The "Robot Skin" one. WHAT THE FUCK!? Seriously, that commercial is so fucked up. It's a product for shaving and here I am feeling like I just watched the trailer for I, Robot ! I mean, what the hell? And their website! Jeez. The whole message is supposed to make you want to buy the damn thing, but instead they are basing the whole marketing on a thick glaze of paranoia. The whole presentation on the site reeks of "Terminator scenario". I'm not saying that I don't think this strategy is going to pay off. Surely, someone are bound to like it - why would they have chosen it otherwise? This is of course assuming that they've done the whole pilot with an audience. Otherwise I would consider it suicide. Oh well. As long as I have the power to switch off when it comes on, I'm satisfied.
